UMK connects Finns with the help of music by offering one of the biggest TV shows of the year. Every spring, all of us find the music expert who wants to be involved in influencing how and by whom Finland is represented at Eurovision Song Contest - the world's largest music show. UMK offers all artists the opportunity to rise to a new level in their careers, as well as songwriters the opportunity to have their songs heard by 180 million viewers. I am looking forward to what kind of great table setting will be included this year.
says Tapio Hakanen.
The UMK21 competitors will be unveiled in January and the season will culminate in the final on February 20th. The final, which will be held at Tampere Mediapolis' TV studios, will be shown live on Yle TV1 and Yle Areena.
